The IM C3010 is a solid entry point for offices under 15,000 pages monthly. And DTF/UV inkjet? It's genuinely useful for short-run specialty work, but calling it a replacement for production laser is a stretch that some vendors are aggressively pushing.

For short-run prototypes and one-off custom jobs? Yes, DTF/UV is genuinely efficient. We use it for client approval samples and small-batch promotional items. The automated workflow means we've eliminated almost all of the data entry errors we used to have when manually routing one-off jobs.
For production runs over 500 units with durability requirements? The math changes fast.
What Actually Changed in 2025
The biggest shift isn't hardware. It's that ink and toner supply chains have stabilized enough that total cost of ownership comparisons are meaningful again.
